Mr. Gopalaraman Padmanabhan has around four decades of experience in the Banking Industry. He was an Executive Director with Reserve Bank of India and handled various roles across different functions of banks such as Markets, Payment and Foreign Exchange Policy.
He is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Bank of India.
Mr. Anjani Kumar Agrawal was associated with Ernst and Young LLP as a Senior Partner and has handled various roles across different functions as a global industry leader. He has been a Committee member and a SubCommittee Leader in the Prime Minister's Trophy Review Committee and an Advisory Committee member in NITI Aayog. He has also been a visiting faculty at ISB-Hyderabad & Mohali and SDA Bocconi School of Management.
Currently, he is the Chairman of Thinkthrough Consulting Private Limited - a sustainable development advisory firm which works with NGOs.
Mr. Najib Shah is associated with Federation of the Indian Chamber Commerce & Industry (FICCI) as a member of the FICCI CASCADE Think Tank. He is currently appointed as an Independent Evaluation Monitor by the Central Vigilance Commission with Department of Revenue, Government of India, NLC India Ltd. and CERSAI.
During the period 2008 to 2017, he was associated with Ministry of Finance, Government of India under various roles such as Joint Secretary, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Director General - Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and Member (Budget) and Chairman of Central Board of Excise & Customs.
Mr. Debasish Mallick was appointed as Deputy Managing Director of Export-Import Bank of India by Government of India for the period July 2014 to July 2019. During this stint he was responsible for overall business and operational activities of the Bank- both domestic & overseas.
He has also served as MD & CEO of IDBI Asset Management Limited for the period April 2011 to July 2014 where he was responsible for setting up the vision statement, business model, fund management principle and broad guidelines, systems & processes, marketing and sales relationship network, organisation setup, regulatory compliances etc. He also developed a robust and sustainable business model in short span of time. Mr. Mallick has also served as Chief General Manager of IDBI Bank Limited where he was responsible for Project Finance, Retail Banking, Alternate Channels and Retail Business-Western Zone.
Mr. Karim Gilani is the Chief Financial Officer of Sun Life Financial Asia since March 2017.In his current role, he leads the entire finance function for Sun Life Financial Asia including overseeing strategic and financial planning, financial reporting, project management, business excellence and internal controls. He has also served as the Chief Risk Officer of Sun Life Financial Asia from April 2015 to February 2017 where he was responsible for all aspects of risk management across Asia.
Prior to this, Mr. Gilani was associated with Manulife Asia as Associate Vice President - Enterprise Risk Management & Asset Liability Management from 2013-15 and as an Associate Vice President - Strategic Projects with Manulife from 2009-2013 where he was responsible for overseeing and managing valuation and reporting responsibilities on US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) basis; optimizing solutions to manage policyholder funds, Enterprise Risk Management for Asia, etc.
Dr. Ajit Ranade is Group Executive President and Chief Economist with the Aditya Birla Group. He has been with the Group since 2003, prior to which he was Chief Economist with ABN Amro Bank. His thirty-plus years career has spanned both academia and corporate assignments. He leads a team of researchers that contributes to business and strategic planning, policy advocacy and ESG initiatives across the Aditya Birla Group. He is currently a member of the Governing Council of Centre for Financial Research and Learning (CAFRAL) under the Reserve Bank of India. He has served on various committees of the RBI, including the Committee on Fuller Capital Account Convertibility and Committee to Review FEMA for Individuals. He has been a member of the Governing Council of the Banking Codes and Supervisory Board of India, and Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology,
Bombay. Between 2007 and 2010 he served as FMC nominee as independent director on the board of MCX Ltd. , a commodity exchange. He was Government of India’s nominee on the Governing Board of Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is currently an Independent Director on the Board of India International Exchange. He is presently a board member of Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, a trustee of Madras Institute of Development Studies and chairs the Academic Council of Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics.
Dr. Ranade is an engineer and management graduate and holds a PhD in Economics. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Bombay in 2009, Scholar of the Year Award from Wadia Trust in 2010, and Dr. Ramchandra Parnerkar Economics Award in 2012. He is a co-founder and Trustee of the Association for Democratic Reforms, an NGO working in area of electoral and political reforms.
