    What Can Investor Expect From The New Financial Year
    First and foremost I hope you and your family are healthy and safe. As I write to you, there has been news of increased number of Covid cases in the country, and it is imperative that you take utmost care of your health and follow the precautionary measures. The way I see it, while there are concerns, but this time Governments are more cognizant and a massive vaccination drive is underway. I am hopeful that with the concerted effort from all quarters, we will be able to overcome this phase. Back in March 2020, things felt so grim, but together we bounced back and how. As a country we have overcome this before, with more measures and resources we will fight this once again.
    On the markets side, the Reserve Bank of India’s monetary policy has concluded a few days back and on expected lines the central bank has kept policy rates unchanged, reiterating an accommodative stance and its continued support to sustain growth on a durable basis and continue to mitigate the impact of pandemic on economy, while ensuring that inflation remains within the target going forward. This comes as a good signal from the RBI for both markets and investors. Adding to this are the various measures from the Government to address the concerns of different industries and sectors. While markets have corrected from its earlier highs, but the long term India story remains intact and so does the prospect of Indian equity markets to be a long term wealth creator.
    April not only signifies the start of a new year in many parts of the country, but for the world of business and finance this is also the beginning of a new financial year. A new financial year is a good time to consider one’s financial plan, reassess the goals and look closely into one’s asset allocation needs for a well balanced portfolio. In this video message, I have tried to bring to you three important aspects of the financial year gone by and what to expect from FY21-22.
