Mr. Colm Freyne is a Non-Executive Director of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited since October 25, 2016. He was re-appointed as Non-Executive Director with effect from May 18, 2020 and the re-appointment was approved by the Shareholders of our Company at the annual general meeting of our Company held on July 20, 2020.

He is the Executive Vice-President & Chief Risk Officer of Sun Life Financial Inc. and Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada. He joined Sun Life Financial Inc. in 2003 and he has experience in the area of risk management. He is also on the boards of Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited, Bentall GreenOak (Canada) Limited Partnership, Bentall GreenOak (U.S.) Limited Partnership and BGO Holdings (Cayman), LP.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University College Dublin. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and a Chartered Accountant in Ireland.
