This information is being issued in public interest by Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited (“ABSL AMC”), the Investment Manager to Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, and provider of Portfolio Management Services, Alternative Investment Funds and Advisory Services.

It has come to our attention that certain unknown individuals, groups and entities are fraudulently misusing the name, logo and brand identity of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC / Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund with the intent to mislead and defraud members of the public.

The following fraudulent activities have been observed and not limited to :

• Creation and circulation of fake look alike mobile applications impersonating ABSL AMC

• Formation of unauthorized WhatsApp / Telegram / social media groups soliciting investments

• False promises of assured / unrealistic returns under so-called “institutional”, “OTC” or “HNI/HNW” trading schemes

• Forgery of signatures of senior officials

• Unauthorized use of the names and photographs of senior management and other officials

• Circulation of fake investment documents, account statements, brochures and letters

• Creation of fake websites, SOA, email IDs and social media accounts etc.

Members of the public are hereby cautioned that these activities are fraudulent. ABSLAMC does not offer guaranteed or assured return schemes, does not solicit investments through WhatsApp groups or unauthorized Apps, and does not operate any unofficial trading platforms.

Please note:

• ABSLAMC does not accept cash for investments on WhatsApp groups or any social media platforms.

• Investments can be made only through our official website, registered distributors, or authorized branches, using regular banking channels having account number in the name of respective funds.

• Any person dealing with such unauthorized individuals or entities shall be doing so at their own risk as to costs and consequences. ABSLAMC shall not be liable for any loss arising from transactions with such fraudsters.

ABSLAMC has already initiated appropriate legal and regulatory action, including reporting such matters to concerned authorities. We have also undertaken public awareness initiatives, including newspaper publications in English and vernacular News Papers, to safeguard the interests of investors at large.

Any person who has been approached by such impersonators or has fallen victim to such fraud is advised to immediately report the matter to the nearest police station/cybercrime cell and to intimate ABSLAMC through its official fraud control channel ABSLAMCFraudControl@adityabirlacapital.com also ABSLAMC reserves the right to initiate appropriate civil and/or criminal proceedings against the said impersonators and any other persons found to be involved in or assisting with such fraudulent activities.
