  • The Aditya Birla Sun Life BSE India Infrastructure Index Fund is an open-ended equity-based index that invests in a portfolio of equity comprised in the underlying BSE India Infrastructure Index. This index comprises of equity of top infrastructure companies from across industries.

Fund Discipline

  • The Scheme invests a minimum of 95% (up to 100%) of its net assets into equity and equity related securities constituting the BSE India Infrastructure Index

  • Up to 5% may also be invested in debt and money market instruments of less than 1-year residual maturity (including cash and cash equivalents) for liquidity purposes

  • The BSE India Infrastructure Index is designed to measure the performance of Indian infrastructure companies within the BSE AllCap

  • Stocks with a listing history of at least six-months and common India Industry Classification Structure as ‘Basic industry’ with 5 clusters categorized as Energy, NBFCs (Infra finance), Construction & Engineering, Transportation & Utilities

  • Constituents are weighted by float-adjusted market capitalization, subject to an individual stock weight cap of 10% and individual infrastructure cluster weight cap of 30%

  • The index comprises of securities from across market caps (subject to minimum market cap and trade value requirements) and across industries within the infrastructure space

  • The scheme follows a passive investment strategy tracking the underlying index.

Tax Applicability

Investment held for less than 12 months

Short Term Capital Gain Tax would be applicable. Any gains/profits would be taxed at 20% (plus applicable surcharge and cess).

Investment held for more than 12 months

Long Term Capital Gain Tax would be applicable. Gains/profits more than Rs. 1.25 lakh would be taxed at 12.5% without indexation (plus applicable surcharge and cess).
